of a Purpose-Filled Life Our beloved Pastor Kay Arsenault began her earthly assignment on February 14, 1945. To chronicle the life of this great woman of God is to read the pages of a well-written book with chapters of love, devotion, compassion, and kindness. We knew her as Pastor Kay, but she began her earthly assignment in Barbourville, Kentucky as Jennetta Kay, born to Rosie Warren and the late Lee Warren. At a young age the family moved to Detroit, Michigan where Kay received her education. She studied chorus at Franklin Elementary School in Detroit, Michigan and always had a love for music. She graduated from Western High School where she was a member of the auto club; attended Central Bible College in Detroit, Michigan; and studied Hebrew at the Jewish Community Center in Southfield, Michigan. At a high school graduation party in 1962, Kay met Thomas Eugene Arsenault. The impetuous young man introduced himself by saying, “My name is Tom. Will you marry me?” To which the beautiful, levelheaded Kay replied, “Get out of here, punk!” But Tom became the love of her life, and on June 27, 1964 they were married. This union allowed them to write incredible chapters of a modern day love story that lasted fifty-three years and included many ministerial opportunities. Pastor Kay served with Pastor Tom for 10 years under Pastor Donald Brady in Dearborn Heights, Michigan where she was a Choir Director, Youth Pastor, and Sunday School Teacher. In 1980 they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where Pastor Kay served as a teacher at Harbor Christian Academy for 5 years. In 1988 a move to Northern Kentucky found Kay fulfilling the assignment of Co-Pastor until 2000. The next chapters of her life included a move to Raleigh/Durham, NC to serve at The River Church under Bishop Joby and Pastor Sheryl Brady where she was in the Finance ministry. Pastor Kay continued in that position, as well as Ministry and Executive Tier Lead for the 4Life Youth Ministry. She continued in these assignments under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Godbee until, after a long illness, she transitioned to her heavenly assignment on October 8, 2017. Pastor Kay was preceded in death by her Father, Mr. Lee Warren, Brother, Lee Warren Jr., Sister, Brenda Fay Warren and Stepfather, Mr. Johnnie Angel. She is survived by her devoted husband, Pastor Thomas Arsenault; her loving mother, Ms. Rosie M. Angel; her caring sisters Mrs. Elaine (Charles) Orrick and Pastor Sheryl (Bishop Joby) Brady; her children: Ted and his wife Sheila Arsenault; Lena Whittlesey; Thomas and his wife Dawn Arsenault; Jeremy and his wife Rebecca Arsenault; thirty-two grandchildren and great grandchildren: Bridgette, Austin, Malisa, Brittany, Theodore, Jeremy, Cody, Courtney, Brianna, Alexis, Terah, Colby, Max, Sophia, Cooper, Sydney, Alyssa, Kye, Kenzie, Maci, Bella, Lyla, Riley, Teegan, Preston, Carson, Chase, Luke, Cruz, Ellie, and Kashton: and a host of nieces and nephews. While Pastor Kay was dearly loved and will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched.
