Welcome back!

Dear Faculty Staff, Parents, Students and Community Members:

a team to face the daily challenges with confidence, creativity and hard work. I ask for your continued support as we move toward more rigorous and relevant standards, as well as clear and concise accountability measures so our students will excel in the challenges that face them each day. Student success and learning are the primary goals of our school district, and with the support of parents, students and community members, we will accomplish our goal; to instill pride and self-confidence in our children as we dare to become an A school district. As the saying goes, it really does take a whole village to raise a child, and I believe in working together we will achieve!

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! This year you will see many new and exciting changes; some of which are already being implemented at the school level, and some yet to come. As we enter this I hope our parents take the time to school year, let us work together as consider, recognize, and perhaps

thank the many people in our community who have such a positive influence upon the “raising” of the young people in DeSoto County. On behalf of the school staff, I wish to recognize those parents who give so much of themselves to enhance the lives of young people. Thank you to the scout leaders, school volunteers, churches, coaches of sports programs, volunteers for charities and community organizations, good neighbors and good friends. Your efforts reinforce and support what we are trying to achieve within the school district. Most importantly, your efforts enhance the lives of children in our community, perhaps more than you realize. Teachers, make each student your own. It is your time and effort that
