President Ino
GGG! Together with Pres Ino, all the way
By JCI Sen.Joyce Macaspac & JCI Member Charlene TorresPresident Ino’s vision for Culiat’s 2024 term is straightforward: to continue the positive momentum of President Kate’s term and further push members’ engagement.
New leaders often rush to impose their own changes, but President Ino recognizes the importance of continuity and gradual progress. He knows that true sustainable impact requires commitment across administrations. He is humble enough to acknowledge that. Nothing too political, just the best for Culiat.
In 2019, Pres Ino began his JCI journey as part of the “Batch Atlantis” of JCI Sen. Joyce Macaspac. He actively participated in various projects, including his first chairmanship in the flagship project Flowers for a Cause.
As Pres Joyce would recall, Pres Ino was one of the active BJCs of his batch. From participating and contributing to the different projects of the chapter which have helped develop Culiat’s brand in its early stage, making innovations to his chaired projects, to shadowing and showing up to the chapter’s activities in any way he can.
His pursuit to improve his leadership skills manifested as he became a commissioner and Vice President for Individual for Pres. Don Quito, Pres. Russel Tan, and Pres Jessica Bravo, respectively. In between those roles are his continuous efforts in building Culiat’s brand through creative multimedia. He was part of Pres. Kate’s firstever Culiat branding team in 2023.
President Ino
As the active Culiat member that he is, always present and on-the-go, Pres. Ino has developed a more “chill”, if you may, relationship with members – new or not. He is a friend, in and out the responsibilities and protocols of the organization.
Jonathan Lingat, an Atlantis batchmate, praises President Ino’s reliability and commitment:
“Ino. Isa lang masasabi ko sa taong to. Maaasahan. First time ko nakasama si Pres was when we were applying as Baby Jaycees sa Culiat. Tahimik pa siya nun, pero when we were tasked to dance during the Christmas Party, game naman agad tong si Pres. Sinabi niya agad na hindi siya makacommit kasi may prior commitments na siya nun pero sumama siya the whole time na nagpractice kami para lang gumaan loob ng lahat sa isa’t isa. Especially dahil bago bago palang kami nun.
The rest was history, dahil from then on, naging solid na kami as a batch and barkada outside of JCI. Laging anjan, sa katuwaan man o sa usapang problema. Kapag gusto niya yung isang bagay, tuloy tuloy niyang gagawin hanggang makuha niya yun. Kaya naman sa year niya as Culiat’s President, all out support kami sa kanya!”
2023 LO President Kathleen Reyes-Romero expresses her support for President Ino, advising him to lead with courage and integrity:
“My President, The night you shared your life’s end-game was the moment I saw your heart clearer. May your heart’s true desires be your guide and may the kind of man you hope to be become your light in leading our family this 2024.
From a basketball fan to another, I cheer for you on your most challenging yet best season. The drawing board is yours; make the greatest plays and enjoy every moment of it.
Nelson Mandela reminds us that ‘courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.’ Thank you for being courageous.
Congratulations, brother. Cheers!”
President Ino
From another Atlantis brother Kevin Wilkerson,
“Congratulations Pres Ino! I am proud to see my Atlantis batchmate bravely taking on the Culiat Presidency.
During our BJC journey in 2019, our co-chair Jonathan, Ino, & I spent most of our time together in and outside Jaycees. We developed a bond along with our batchmates and the members of Culiat that earned us the title of the 3 musketeers. It was a good time & I will always remember our “2 bots lang” sessions. On many days and nights, our dear President Joyce Macaspac would talk to us about leadership and the ways of Culiat. I hope that Pres Ino will be able to show everything in him to give the next round of BJCs an unforgettable experience as we did.
To see Ino from the beginning of our BJC journey to now has given me an opportunity to evaluate what a leader he developed to be. Witnessing his change from the time we met and even in months before preparing for his presidency made me wonder what was going through his head. I could imagine him at every step, trying to put himself in the shoes of past presidents and think of their means to achieving their goals, wanting to continue the solid foundation built before us. Then I also realized that his sacrifices – time, money, and himself would bring something invaluable in Culiat – Family. My brothers & sisters, it’s about us all, let’s cherish what we have so let’s take Pres Ino, the 2024 BOD, BJCs and members to another term we can look back on and be proud of. Pres Ino, I pray that the Lord guide your heart with purpose in all your undertakings. GGG!”
This year is about togetherness and continuity within the chapter, regardless of political affiliations and leaning. Together, said Pres Ino. And so we say, ALL THE WAY!
