The JCI Creed We Believe: That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise That government should be of laws rather than of men That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality And that service to humanity is the best work of life The JCI Mission To provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. The JCI Vision To be the leading global network of young active citizens.

Editor’s Message I was introduced to JCIKK through a family friend. I have just recently graduated and came back home after having left for so many years brought many uncertainties and possibilities. I decided to join JCIKK to make some new friends and to explore the possibilities of learning new things. I not only made friends but joining JCIKK has encouraged me to change my ways of communicating with people. Despite having difficulties talking to others, JCIKK has helped me to get along with people easily compared to the previous me. Although I have only been in JCI for the past 8 months, I felt that JCIKK has become a second family to me; hanging out with everyone and bonding together have been a fun thing to do and it filled me with joy. On top of that, I was able to learn to work well with everyone during projects and how to make sure to keep everyone on the same page all the way in order for projects to be successful. Although there were always hiccups during projects, everyone managed to stay strong and went through these hiccups and that was something that strengthened everyone and gave them the courage to push forward towards the end. With all the above, I hope to continue serving in JCIKK to be a better me, someone who is more confident in the future and hope this encourages others to do the same. Jonathan Sim
