I: What’s New Nominate Your Favorite Charity—Now Deadline – This Thursday, November 15! We need your input to identify and support outstanding organizations whose missions are consistent with our vision and UMW tradition. For 2013, the Executive Committee will continue to focus on three priority areas for giving: Education, Health, and Social Justice. Please nominate organizations that work in one of these areas. We have received very few nominations to date. We will select 10 to 12 organizations for funding. (Our UMW currently supports the following: Bread for the City, Bright Beginnings, Courtney’s House, Fairfield Orphanage and Sponsorship Association, Health in Harmony, Just Neighbors, High Tea Society, Mabel Jones School, the Ballet School, The Methodist Home and Wesley Scholarship Fund.) The finance committee will conduct the initial selection, which will be reviewed by the executive committee and presented at the annual meeting. More information and a nomination form are attached.
