A note from our creator Hi!
I‘m Jules. I love making superheros & legends. I love to capture people’s imaginations and turn them into amazing artworks by enhancing an creating images beyond your wildest dreams. These gorgeous, unique, and personal keepsakes will be treasured by you and your family for years to come. Fantasy portraiture brings a great deal of magic and excitement to your traditional portrait and is an art which sparks imagination, creativity and emotions in our clients. Fantasy Portraits are hand crafted by myself with many of the backgrounds made from a series of images carefully crafted together to form one unique image. I believe all portraits should be relaxed, fun-filled, and all about capturing you, your relationships and your story. Your images should hold empathy, emotion, and essence of its subject. Everyone deserves to be their own super hero.
Cover Image: “The Artist”
This image was one of the first I ever made for a client and her children. It is one of my aboslute favourites and I come back to it time and time again. With its warm autumn like tones, I couldn’t think of a cuter image to grace the cover this season. Painting his fence at home with water, I changed it to colour to create his canvas.

Monochrome International Photographic Awards
Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional and amateur photographers. Their mission is to celebrate monochrome visions and discover the most amazing photographers from around the world. Over 7500 entries were received from all over the world and I was thrilled when I found out two of my images had been given honorable mentions by the judges. That means they ranked in the top 20 of images.
Fantasy Club January
A little about: Fantasy Portraits I often get asked about my Fantasy Portraits and how they’re created. More often than not, they are born from a childs’ imagination or thoughts and how they communicate those to me. I have always struggled with people telling me about graphic stories or events that have taken place as I see a little video running in my head about what they are talking about. No idea why this happens but it definitely does and can impact my day deeply, depending on what it is about. This young man who has been created into Thor wasn’t able to communitcate to me exactly what he had in mind this particular day has he can be non verbal to new people. I adore these gorgeous kids SO much and as I always do, we sat and talked through how we were going to approach the photos and he sat and looked through the book of magic while we talked. His gentle nature came across most to me this particular day so I felt that standing high on top of a cliff face as his favourite charator, Thor would sit really nicely with his personality. It has actually become one of my favourite images to date. He also had a Batman image done and a few weeks later came back and we created a special Chicken Army for him as well. I was thrilled to see him playing knock and run and my front door and hearing him speak to me about all the images he wanted in his Chicken Army. The joy that Fantasy Portraits bring to so many kids, especially those on the spectrum makes my heart sing. I adore these littles SO much and creating a special space just for them is the best. They often bring me the best challenges to create for them because they can be SO creative.

Mix'n in the Kitchen
AWARD WINNING LOCAL CAKE MASTER “Everyone deserves a little sweet treat” Benita Farrell and I connected back in January 2020 when her family won Fantasy Portraits for a year. I was brand new to the fantasy portrait adventure and she was thrilled about winning. The first session in January I was terrified of shooting with all the ‘what if’s’ that could possibly happen and Benita and I giggled our way through the photographs. She was so calming and kind hearted and was very much the reason I didn’t run for the hills after the first ‘try’. We became friends over the year and I was really honored when she asked if I could create her a special logo for her new home business, “Mix’n in the Kitchen”. Many people don’t know that I spent many years branding and designing logos for companies here in Australia and worldwide. I absolutely adore creating for small business. Long story short, Benita’s passion for making people smile and filling their bellies with happiness has created something truly special for her and her family. She recently won an international cake competition, but true to her, kept it quiet! I’m so thrilled for her and all of her beautiful work! We love working alongside her for our Cake smash sessions and you’ll be seeing more of her work soon! You can find her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Mixn-in-the-Kitchen

Skills Updating WITH JOEL GRIMES
Joel Grimes is a photographer I have followed now for years. Much like my business mentor, Julia Kelleher, Joel is someone I have scoured his work trying to work out how he’s lit his imagery, how he edits and works. I was thrilled when he started to release online masterclasses and even more so when I was able to join his academy to work with him from the other side of the world. As you can see from his images on this page, they’re striking and beautiful imagery. There’s SO much to learn! But im looking forward to it
Fairy Photos 2021 Fairy Day 2021 is on it’s way. I decided to photograph it on Good Friday and the first Satuday of April as it’s the first couple of days of school holidays. There are optional extras available to purchase. All imagery is photographed in my studio and I had craft each image specially for your child. Each edit can take up to a few hours to create. What a fun momento for your child to look back on later in life! Bookings are now open via www.julieclyde.com
