Division A Champ: Burns & McDonnell
Division B Champ: NAIC & NIPR
The 2021 season marked the 38th year of competition for Burns & McDonnell. Even more impressive than that? Last year’s first place finish was the tenth in their team’s history! With a participation list of over one thousand, Burns & McDonnell participated in all 29 events earning a gold medal finish in twelve. These events included the 5K; men’s basketball skills competition; coed bowling; the duathlon; men’s pickleball; women’s pool; punt, pass, and kick; the penalty kick competition; softball; the track meet; tug-of-war; and volleyball. Congratulations to Burns & McDonnell on a wonderful season!
The 2021 Games were the 14th consecutive for NAIC & NIPR and their first-ever first place finish! Competing in every single event, NAIC & NIPR earned first place finishes in men’s and women’s bowling, dodgeball, the half marathon, and table tennis. Second and third place finishes were earned in the 5K; the men’s and coed basketball skills competition; kickball; men’s and women’s pool; the swim meet; the track meet; tug-of-war; women’s darts; the duathlon; women’s pickleball; punt, pass, and kick; and the penalty kick competition. They also met their volunteer requirements. Congratulations to NAIC & NIPR on a historical season!
Division C Champ: MRIGlobal
Division D Champ: Hoefer Welker
Finishing within the top four every season throughout their 10-year history, 2021 marked the fifth championship for MRIGlobal. With a participation list of 200 competitors, this team earned first place finishes in the 5K; the bike race; the swim meet; the track meet; men’s darts; women’s horseshoes; women’s pickleball; punt, pass, and kick; volleyball; and the tug-of-war. Silver and bronze medals were earned at the half marathon, women’s bowling, men’s golf, coed pickleball, women’s tennis, the coed basketball skills competition, kickball, and softball Additionally, this team excelled at our 30th event by fulfilling their volunteer requirements! Congratulations to MRIGlobal on an incredible season!
Hoefer Welker finished their sixth season with their first-ever first place finish. It comes as no surprise that Hoefer Welker secured the top spot when you consider their stats of the season: with participation in every single event, this team earned first place finishes in men’s darts; women’s horseshoes; women’s pickleball; punt, pass, & kick; volleyball; the swim meet; and the tug-of-war. Second and third place finishes were secured in the 5K, the bike race, the half marathon, women’s bowling, men’s golf, coed pickleball, women’s tennis, the coed basketball skills competition, kickball, the track meet, and softball. That’s a lot of hardware for only 80 competitors! Congratulations to Hoefer Welker on a truly impressive season!
