Asset Information Management
BIM dictionary defines an Asset Information Model (AIM) as an “Information Model relating to the Operational Phase” ISO 19650-1 (3.3.9). The Asset Information Model (AIM) supports the maintenance, management, and operation of an Asset throughout its Asset Life Cycle. AIM can act (i) as a repository for all Asset Information; (ii) as a means to access/link to enterprise systems (e.g. CMMS and BMS); and (iii) as a means to receive and centralize information from other Project Participants throughout Project Lifecycle Phase

Considerations
By utilizing BIM tools such as IFC viewers and Speckle, Power Bi can be used to enhanse to openBIM proces. The platform can be used to extract and illustrate information from IFC models. Below are some of openBIM considerations for Power BI use:
Integrating IFC viewer into virtual dashboard
To integrate an IFC viewer into a virtual Dashboard: Try to minimize grouping objects.
Whenever possible, minimize the number of objects grouped when using an IFC viewer in a virtual dashboard. The size of the model will significantly increase if each tile is modeled with a curtain panel.
When IFC viewer is included in the virtual dashboard, a plain wall with correct layer management would work smoothly
IFC Viewer - Speckle
PowerBi and IFCs can be connected using an open source platform.
Model content should be relatively light to prevent the input process from taking too long. It would be better to have a public stream. The development team is utilizing the viewer through a private stream.
