TEAM PARKING & CAMPS All team vehicles should park on the southeast side of Broncbuster Stadium next to the Tangeman Sports Complex (softball fields). Schools may then set up their team camps in the grass area directly to the north of the parking lot. No camps will be allowed inside the stadium. Please don’t set your camps next to the discus or javelin event areas. Teams may enter the stadium via the pass gate that is located next to the stands on the east side.
HOSPITALITY MEAL Freddy’s Frozen Custart & Steakburgers of Garden City will be providing a meal for all coaches, drivers and and volunteers for the regional meet. They will also be open after the meet for any teams wanting to stop by. They are located at 3112 E. Kansas Ave.

PUBLIC ADMISSION AND PARKING Parking for the public is available on the north side of Broncbuster Stadium. To access this lot, please use Gene Avenue. Handicap parking is available at the church on the west side of the stadium. This lot is for handicap and volunteers only. Overflow parking is available on the GCCC campus just across the street from the track to the west. The public entrance will also be on the west side of the stadium. Please do not attempt to gain initial access from the east side by the throwing events. Admission prices are set by the KSHSAA. They are $5 for adults and $4 for students (K-12). No league passes accepted, only KSHSAA passes. Seating is available on both sides of the track. The west side features seat back chairs and both stands have elevated handicap accessible seating.
EVENT LOCATIONS The javelin and discus events will take place on the east side of the stadium. High jump will take place on the inside of the track. Only coaches and athletes will be allowed access to the infield area. Shot put will be behind the west stands. Boys will be on the north and girls on the south. Runways for for pole vault, triple jump and long jump are located just south of the west stands. We ask that only coaches and athletes competing be in the enclosed area. All running events will share the same finish line. We will not be moving the timing system to run with the wind. The location of the finish line is in the southwest corner of the track.

TEAM PACKETS Packets may be picked up at the coaches meeting in the church. Each school will get a copy of the athlete performance list, order of events, facilities map and other information.
ONLINE ENTRIES The KSHSAA requires all entries be made online and updated by 8:30pm on Saturday, May 16th. At that time, the KSHSAA will enter the athletes into the meet management software and then make it available to the meet director. Athletes can only be entered in a maximum of 4 individual events. They can be listed on realy teams without counting against the number of events allowed. On the day of the meet, only scratches can be made. Make sure you list all of your alternates for your relay teams. Athletes must be scratched at the coaches meeting or at least one hour before the event. Scratches must be made in the press box. If an athlete fails to make an attempt or run the race, they will be considered scratched from all further events unless reinstated by the games committee/jury of appeals.
GAMES COMMITTEE A games committee has been formed prior to the meeting and it is comprised of coaches from various parts of the regional area. They will function as a jury of appeals as per provisions of NFHS Rule 3-5. If an appeal is filed with the jury of appeals and involves an athlete from one of the schools coached by a member of the committee, that coach should recluse themselves from ruling on the appeal. UNIFORMS Please make sure that your athletes come dresses to compete as there will not be any locker rooms available. Also, please remind your athletes about the various uniform rules. The clerks checking in athletes will do their best to notify them of any illegal aspects at the time of check-in so that it can be corrected before the event. MISCELLANEOUS - Pole vault verification forms must be handed in at the coaches meeting along with your Sportsmanship/Legal Uniform card. - Please only use 1/4� or smaller spikes on the track surfaces. Discus and shot put will use concrete rings.

EVENT SPECIFIC INFORMATION High Jump and Pole Vault will be will be run off with only one flight of athletes. Each athlete will get three attempts per height. Only the top four competitors will advance to the state meet. Any ties needing broken for state qualifying will take place once a regional champion has been determined. The starting heights will be set 2 increments lower than the 6th place entry (4” for high jump and 1’ for pole vault) All other field events will have prelims and finals. Each athlete will get 3 attempts in the preliminary round and the top 7 advancing to finals. If there are any ties for 7th place in prelims, all athletes that are tied (using their best mark only) will advance. Finals will consist of 3 attempts. Preliminary races will be run for only the 100m, 200m and the 100m/110m hurdles. The number of entries will determine the advancement method (see below). Broncbuster Stadium has an 8-lane all-weather track.

INDIVIDUAL EVENTS The top 4 athletes that advance to the state meet will be awarded medals. In the event of a tie, duplicate medals will be awarded. More information will be available if this occurs. A maximum of 4 from each regional (16 total) will be allowed. NFHS and KSHSAA rules will be used to break any ties.
RELAY EVENTS The top 4 relay teams that advance to the state meet will be awards medals. A maximum of 4 relay teams from each regional (16 total) will be allowed. NFHS and KSHSAA rules will be used to break any ties.
TEAM AWARDS & MORE INFO Points will be awarded for the top 6 places in every event. The champion and runner-up in both the boys and girls division will receive a plaque. If there is a tie for either, duplicates will be awarded. We will also have relay forms (TF-4 & TF-5) that must be filled out and completed before you leave the meet. After all events are scored, we will recognize and have plaques for the top two teams in both boys and girls. Please give us some time after the event and meet to verify scores and placings.
Medals can be picked up in the press box at the end of the meet. Please make sure that your relay forms are correct as they will be sent to the KSHSAA at the completion of the meet.

BRONCBUSTER STADIUM Broncbuster Stadium is located just east of the Garden City Community College campus. It is approximately located at the intersection of Campus Drive and Spruce Street. The track features and all-weather 8-lane track surface. All-weather runways are also available for the long jump, triple jump and pole vault. The javelin will be held on the soccer practice field and will be a grass runway.

INFIELD ACCESS After the completion of the high jump, only volunteers, athletes and coaches will be allowed on the infield during the meet. The infield is to be used for athlete warmups. No team camps may be set up in the infield. We ask that all fan and spectators remain on the outside of the track.
TEAM CAMPS The area just north of the team parking lot is set aside for all team camps. Please do not place your camp near the discus or javelin areas.
ATHLETIC TRAINING There will be an athletic trainer from Kansas Orthopaedic Center at Sandhill availble for any athlete needing assistance.
IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN Athletes must weigh in all implements between 12:30pm–1:45pm at the tent on the east side of the stadium (near the discus and javelin). All approved implements will be marked.
