Welcome to Windsor Essex! On behalf of the City of Windsor and the County of Essex, we would like to express how truly pleased we are to be chosen as the location for the AIESEC SouthON Conference. As the largest student-run organization in the world, AIESEC brings together youth from around the world by facilitating activities and learning opportunities surrounding the areas of world issues, leadership and management. These are very important topics that assist in making our world a better place and we are excited to have these conversations taking place in our city. The Windsor Essex region realizes the potential of investing in youth and we are happy to welcome this conference to our area. Windsor Essex is fast becoming recognized as a region of choice for significant large-scale provincial, national and international conferences/events. Hosting the 2014 AIESEC SouthON Conference helps spotlight our convention infrastructure and our community’s hospitality. Windsor boasts superb shopping and entertainment, a deliciously diverse array of culinary choices, miles of beautiful waterfront parks and gardens, and fascinating historical landmarks. Essex County’s position as the southernmost region in Ontario, nestled among the Great Lakes, makes for some of the best weather in the country. Surrounded by water, the lush countryside encompasses unique parks, Carolinian forests, and award-winning wineries. Renowned for our community spirit and cultural diversity, our region is always ready to welcome visitors and ensure their stay is a truly enjoyable one. In closing, we consider it a privilege to be able to add your organization to the list of numerous groups who have selected our region. Rest assured, you have made a great decision, but as you certainly know, the proof is in the experience. And we can’t wait to make yours the best it can possibly be!
Sincerely,
Eddie Francis Mayor, City of Windsor
