TESTIMONIALS “Our experience with AIESEC and the Global Internship Program has been excellent. This past year, undertook several new projects that required resourcing. The AIESEC team worked with us to define our requirements, search the global database for talent and identify top candidates for our teams. The quality of the candidates presented was superb. Our biggest challenge was identifying the “best of the best” from the slate of exceptional prospects we interviewed. The AIESEC Team was professional and the process was clear and simple from start to finish. The interns we have hired through the program have been outstanding – strong skills, motivated and committed. They have made a real impact on our organization and the teams they work with. I expect the AIESEC program to be an important part of our short and long-term staffing plans for years to come.” -James Price, MBA, President & CEO Canadian Stem Cell Foundation
“To effectively carry out our mandate, the AESO needs to best people with solid education, experience and character. Our experience with AIESEC was that not only do they provide candidates with these qualities, but their staff display them as well. Our experience with AIESEC has been a good one. Right from the start, we were impressed by professionalism of the organization and their people. Their process is well developed and very simple for the employer. Their staff have been great to deal with and responded quickly to questions and concerns. When it cam time to select and intern, we found that each of the top three candidates provided were better than we had expected. If we’d had the positions we would have had no hesitations hiring them all.” -Lisa Nadeau, Director of Human Resources, Alberta Electric System Operator

Rolling internship - The overlap period between the two waves of intern creates an opportunity for the veterans to help the new recruits on both work-related and life-related issues. Project management can be easily facilitated when integrating the new wave of interns as they have mentors and experienced interns to help them understand their importance. As the interns arrive, they have the ability to work in a team environment and share their background of experience with each other to enrich their productivity and participation at your company. When the interns leave the company, they take back their experience and understanding of working in a Canadian culture to bring back and enrich their own world. first wave of interns second wave third wave

If you require more than 1 intern, there is no need to take all of the interns at once, AIESEC can help plan out a timeline so that interns arrive in intervals or waves, depending on your company’s needs.
frequently asked questions why are the durations different for each country? Facilitating interns from different country may take longer and shorter depending on the relations with that country and their ease with visa processing.
how many countries do companies who sign with AIESEC have access to? AIESEC is connected to over 124 Countries and expanding.
can we specify which countries the interns come from? Yes! As we make sure to facilitate the right individual for your position, companies have the opportunity to filter their search to specific regions.
we are looking for a specific skillset, is AIESEC able to help us? Yes! Our Job Questionnaire is tailored to find the ideal candidate for you, and if there are specific requirements that are not available on the Job Questionnaire, we can add specific queries to your search.
we don’t want the intern anymore, can we cancel our contract? is there a refund for the fee? If you decide to cancel on having an intern brought to your company, or unhappy with the selection of interns and do not require our services for facilitation, we do refund $1200 of the total $1500 fee.
we have our own company policies that do not seem to be covered in your contract, are we able to enforce those policies onto the intern? Absolutely, within the JQ, specific requirements for company policies can be written, as well as when the intern first starts their work, companies are able to have them sign separate policy statements as long as they do not coincide with our contract.
we want to keep our intern after the 18 month duration, is this possible? Yes, but AIESEC will no longer be responsible for the intern’s current position with visa work permits and other responsibilities. The company will then be in charge of the intern to the full extent.
