Hello, my name is Jeremia, you can call me Jeremia or Jamie. I am currently studying in Universitas Katolik Parahyangan(Unpar) as an architecture student, and expected to graduate in 2021.
Photography and videography has always been one of my biggest interest since I was still in junior high school(SMP). I love it when I can communicate with other people using the picture that I took, it gives a unique feeling when people can understand you without saying a word. Oh! I also love to take photos with film camera! In this portfolio, I will guide you through some of my photography journey that I personally have selected. This is one of my favorite photo that I have ever taken. The photo itself was used for the main photo for KOMMUNZINE 10: Identitas Nasional. I took this picture with a Canon QL17 film camera with a Portra 400 roll. At this time, Jakarta’s MRT was just launched and people were so exited and were really proud of this National achievement; so I think this photo was really connected with KOMMUNZINE 10’s main topic.

While taking pictures of this installation, I really wanted to make this photo as if its like a moving picture. I used a slow shutter settings in my camera to take motion blur picture for the photo.

This project is one of the most fun photoshoot I have ever had because I got to take portraits of my architecture school batch friends(around 200 people!). I asked them to be very expressive and relax so that we can get a very enjoyable pictures for our yearly Architecture Comitee members book.

Focusing on the bright red color of the Kimchi by selecting non-contrast colors for the background and accessories. Close-up shots can give the viewers a better look on the product’s details and a fresh feeling of this cold side dish.

By having the photoshoot at the campus area, we hope that our costumers can relate to the products and willing to buy these items for their daily use.

On this trip, I was using a 35mm lens for taking my pictures. It wasn’t really ideal for taking wide shots of buildings therefore, I used it mostly for taking a closeup shots or cool details of these buildings.
