NEXTGENMINISTRIES

NEXTGENKIDS

ANNUAL

NURSERY (BIRTH TO 2 YEARS)

Children at this precious age are nurtured on Sunday mornings while listening to worship music, playing, and getting a little snuggle time with caregivers who love Jesus and care for them. Nursery care is available both services.

FALL HARVEST PARTY Sponsored by Meadowbrook Church and Jefferson Elementary

KIDS (K3 TO 5TH GRADE)

Friday, September th pm

Through these early childhood years, our goal is to provide an environment for kids that allows them to discover the God who created them, the Jesus who loves them and the Holy Spirit who empowers kids to make a difference in the world around them. Programming is offered during the school months of September through May.

Each year we have the rare and wonderful opportunity to work in partnership with Jefferson Elementary and host a neighborhood harvest party. Featuring a hay slide, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, pumpkin painting and a host of harvest games, this is truly an event where we can serve the families in our immediate neighborhood in a fun way. We encourage families and individuals to serve for a half hour shift somewhere and then stay to enjoy the fun. Sign-up will begin in the lobby on Sunday, September 4th. We will also have a donation list for items needed for that evening, if you are interested in participating in that way. Mark your calendars for this great night of serving and fall fun!

STUDENTS (6TH TO 12TH GRADE)

On Sunday mornings and throughout the week students interact in a safe, affirming environment where questions and lively discussion are encouraged. New or visiting students are welcome to participate at any time. Middle School meets during our 9AM service and High School meets during our 10:30AM service.

CAFEKOINONIA The smell of freshly roasted and ground coffee beans. A relaxed atmosphere filled with the rustling of quiet conversations and close relationships. There is so much more to a coffee house than just coffee … there is fellowship.

"Koinonia" comes from a Greek word that means to share in something, to participate, to have unity and togetherness, or fellowship. Whether you are new to Meadowbrook or have been coming for years, Café Koinonia offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere and serves as a way to make visitors feel welcome. It emphasizes our commitment to community. It is a great place to hang out with new people and close friends. Café Koinonia serves a variety of hot coffee choices beginning at 8:30AM. After 10AM you can also find iced drinks, baked goods, tea and lemonade available until closing time at 11:45AM. In addition to all those choices, you can sign up to become a "Coffee Club" member, receiving monthly your own stash of our Meadowbrook Blend. Café Koinonia serves the best Stone Creek Coffee has to offer as featured in our monthly coffee selections. Café Koinonia is FREE. We want visiting people to feel welcome and nothing does that better than a free snack or beverage. That being said, Café Koinonia is a self-sustaining ministry and donations are always welcome! Your gifts and donations provide for the visitors and guests of the church and for that we thank you for your participation in the on-going ministry of invitation at Meadowbrook Church. We look forward to seeing you in the Café!

Solem/Adam Community

SUNDAYMORNINGCOMMUNITIES

Sunday Morning | 9AM | Room 206 Study: 1 John Contact: Russ Solem

Communities will begin on Sunday, September 11th. Visitors are always welcome.

Crisp, clear, concise, without ambiguity, and without doubt. Our lives are to be in God’s hands in an obvious way to those around us. This was John’s message in his first letter to the Christians in the Roman world. Throughout the text he speaks to the dangers of both false teaching and love of the “world” and its temptations. John redirects his readers, encouraging them toward love for God and fellow believers. Join us as we begin to explore this message of truth and love and pursue what it is to become people whose lives reflect the very nature of God to the world around us. Everyone is welcome.

WOMEN’SMINISTRY

Tapestries Women’s Bible Study

Sunday Morning | 10:30AM | Room 206 Contact: Kimberly Purcell How do we live faithfully in an ever changing climate and culture? In what ways can we impact the increasingly secular world around us with the message of hope? Author J. Paul Nyquist, president of Moody Global Ministries, offers a biblical, theological and practical perspective and approach in his book: Prepare: Living Your Faith in an Increasingly Hostile Culture. The Meadowbrook second hour community will be exploring his thoughts together and we welcome any and all who would like to join us.

Women's Ministry at Meadowbrook invites all women to join them in discovering who Jesus is and how their life can become a reflection of his. They provide regular Bible study throughout the school year and host social events and service projects as well. For more information, please contact Jen Akin at jakin@mbctosa.org.

Wednesdays, Beginning September 14th | 9-11AM Meadowbrook Church Childcare available for nominal fee for ages Birth-K4 Contact: Stephanie Cobb at stephanielcobb@yahoo.com 414.259.0643

Join the ladies of Tapestries as they delve into one of the most fascinating books of the Bible, Revelation. This sometimes neglected and often confusing book is full of vibrant imagery, rich themes, and deep spiritual insights. While it can be difficult to understand, woven throughout is the unifying message of victory found in Jesus Christ. Women in all phases and stages of life are welcome to join us as we learn and grow together and see the truth of who God is and His plan for the world He created. We’ll combine large group teaching from Genise Anderson, Andrea Harris and Rachel MacKinney with small group discussion time. We will also include some video teaching filmed at the sites of the seven churches addressed in Revelation. All women are welcome!

Have a prayer concern or request? Meadowbrook’s prayer chain is comprised of a group of individuals dedicated to lifting up praises and concerns to the Lord. The Prayer Team also holds a corporate prayer gathering at the home of Jim and Amy Durgan on the first Monday of the month and all are welcome to join. Contact Brooke Fossell at bafossell@sbcglobal.net to submit a request or if you have questions.
