DURING THIS ROUND OF DESIGNS, I HAD A LOT GOING ON OUTSIDE OF CLASS, HINDERING MY ABILITY TO REALLY DEVELOP SUCCESSFUL IDEAS. I DID AS BEST AS I COULD WITH WHAT LITTLE TIME I HAD, AND THESE WERE THE ADDITIONS I MADE TO THE FIRST ROUND OF DESIGNS.

FOR MY NON-COMPUTER INFOGRAPHIC, THERE WERE HARDLY ANY VARIATIONS IN THESE DRAFTS AT ALL. I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE HEADLINE SOME, AS WELL AS THE STROKE OF THE TEXT. I DECIDED, HOWEVER, THAT I SIMPLY NEEDED TO REWRITE THE TEXT TO MAKE IT CLEANER AND MORE SUCCESSFUL.
Final : Type FOR MY FINAL TYPE-BASED INFOGRAPHIC, I DECIDED TO STICK WITH THE WEDDING THEME AND LIMITED COLOR PALETTE. I KEPT THE LACE, BUT TRIED TO MAKE IT LESS OVERWHELMING. I CHANGED THE DIRECTION OF THE STEPS SO THAT IT WOULD GO FROM THE TOP OF THE CAKE TO THE BOTTOM INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I ALSO ADDED A HEADLINE TO GIVE THE VIEWER’S EYE SOMEWHERE TO START.

I CHANGED THE DESIGN OF THE CAKE TO MATCH THE THEME OF THE STRUCTURE BELOW. I ADDED A SUBHEAD TO ELABORATE ON THE HEADLINE. ON TOP OF THAT, I INCREASED THE SIZE AND CONTRAST OF THE TEXT TO MAKE IT MORE LEGIBLE. I ALSO MADE SOME SMALL ADJUSTMENTS TO SOME OF THE GRAPHICS TO MAKE THEM UNIFIED.
