Aston Apartments Lane Cove PBD Architects have had the opportunity to take the Aston Apartment project from inception through to construction detailing/ documentation and Interior Design. Comprising 46 residential apartments this new Lane Cove project consists of two (self serviced) attached buildings which step along the main street frontage to deal with the level change across the site. The buildings are recessed centrally providing a strong definition between buildings which is further emphasised through the use of vertical blade and wrap around linear articulation elements. The project utilises its north facing aspect to the upmost potential with north facing living/ private open space areas a resultant effect of flow through apartments and appropriate;y configured unit layouts. A playful composition of materials, articulation and colour palette tie in to the clean, symmetrical and contemporary aesthetic
