Projects in Burundi: Three years Scholarships. Budget $ 2000 pro year: There’s a total lack of education for the pastors in the area. BD or MD as further education in Bujumbura.
Bicycles for district pastors. Budget $ 120: 10 pcs’s is needed. There are very few public transport options in Burundi - especially in rural districts why the bicycle is still the best and cheapest means of transport. The pastors are unpaid.
Biblical literature - in English: Books for education for evangelists and priests.
Micro loans for widows/children. Budget $ 300: A combination-project. Widows and children at the street are a big problem for the congregations in Bujumbura. The project aims at widows who are willing to take care of a street child. As a reward these women are having the opportunity to join a project that will feed themselves and give a home to one or two children.
Two Micro-projects for youth groups. Budget $ 1000: Many young people are left behind when leaving school. Girls often end up in prostitution in order to cope with everyday life. Small projects in the church will help these young people into a future that isn’t conditional on abuse.
