Trains give me a sense of whimsy. There’s just something about them. My mock annual report spread design for BNSF combined dry, numbers-lead data with relative graphic imagery & a teensy dash of whimsy. Adding this dash helps to make otherwise intimidating data digestible. I learned quite a bit about BNSF operations while working on this solution. BNSF’s 10-K data was crucial to developing the most appropriate & easy to understand infographics.

For the Raleway Typeface Specimen Book, showcasing the extreme variety of ways to engage this typeface family was the priority. To answer this call, each embellishment or iconlike graphic you see I made using only the letters, glyphs, symbols, & integers found in the Raleway typeface family. As you can see, Raleway is vastly versatile.
Quarantining was becoming a new normal. Since this interview with my Sr. Art Director brother-in-law occurred over a distance, I decided to present the information in a way that visually reflected the separation. I often visualize interviews as two people sitting in facing chairs, one asking & the other answering. I came up with this solution, adding a bit of fun to the overall assignment.
