SPATIAL DESIGN PORTFOLIO

“I love art in each and every form. I will always approach design with an open heart to keep learning and appreciating. I always try to come up with a design that best suits its purpose while ensuring its functionality. I am a good communicator and I work well in a team, expressing good listening skills while also being able to voice my thoughts.”
“Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.”
- Andy Warhol
Studio 4 is a project that was completed in Year 2021, when I was studying Year 2 in NYP. This project was about creating a place for people to act as they wish and explore with their own will.
School Project 1 Semester Individual Project
Site analysis along the track from Fort Canning Park to Esplanade Park. This shows the temperature change, amount of greeneries and light exposure etc. along the way.
This are the photos taken as I walked along the streets and encountering various things like signboards, little animals, interesting structures and humans etc.
It is group according to their categories.
My design intervention for a wearable device.
This device acts as a phone holder with different screen colors so that I can film whats around me under the different filter colors. There’s also a pen and paper storage for me to understand the textures of various materials used along the route.
This are my collected data from walking around the place with my device on.
Since there are mostly greeneries along my trail considering the parks at the start and end, I wanted to see how green leaves may look if they’re no longer green, and how red flowers look if its not red.
I also managed to capture a few different textures of the benches, building walls, floors etc.
A collective progression of how I last came up with the final keyword
Site chosen: National Gallery Singapore

- General public who will be visiting National Gallery Singapore
I want to make use of different materials in different zones for visitors to walk through and get a feel of the ever-changing environment when going about the exhibition.
There are three zones where by the first one is a mirror maze with 2 exits. They can choose which way to go and which exit they take. Coming around to the globe, which is filled up with liquid materials to make them feel the impact as they’re walking through it as every step they take can change the globe to change a shape. Lastly visitors can walk down the flight of stairs, with things falling over the shelter and possible landing on them.
To also bring in fun as an experience factor, visitors can make use of the materials provided within the exhibition as part of the exhibit to craft something special. The outcome of all their crafts will look different based on the kind of materials they choose, based on the paths they took. No one piece will look identical.
This shows that they have been deciding their own actions, causing changes around them, and making a decision by following their hearts.
As the last project handed to me before I ended internship. The design of the entire condo apartment was left to my imagination. Modern and luxurious yet cozy was what that was intended.
Internship Residential Project 2 Months Individual Project
As it was still during the discussion stage when I left my internship, a lot of the designs were semifinalist. The owner requested for a very zen feeling when entering the house thus the vast use of wood and other brown and woody tones around the house.
The guest room has a retractable bed and addition storage so that there will be enough place to hold guests over, but also serving functionality as an extra room.
Internship Commercial Project 1 Month Team Project
The maisonette upgrade made use of the HDB’s high ceiling and we expanded it into a study in the third level. The small room on the first level was also redesigned into a proper bedroom.
Internship Rresidential Project 3 Months Individual Project
Extra rooms on level 2 & 3.
We kept the sunflower element as requested by the client and made use of the spaces within this small room as much as possible to ensure comfort while including everything the client has asked for.
Spare bedroom for the HDB flat. Curve carpentry on the bedside study table/dresser to prevent knocking when on the bed.
Wardrobe door design adds spark to the room as we keep it minimal and aesthetically pleasing.
The ASDA Competition was a challenge for the best designed bathrooms featuring many prizes for sustainability and designs etc. Everybody took part to design a bathroom using sustainable and Eco-friendly materials.
To design a minimalistic toilet with built-in carpentries for storage.
Mainly chose to make use of Eco friendly and sustainable materials.
Sleek finish on walls and toiletries.
In Architectonics we learnt a lot of different structures and how structures are placed together to form buildings. We made use of the known structural forms to come up with a model.
School Module 1 Semester Individual Project
These are some other works done during internship. It is mainly the explorations of the different rendering softwares and playing around with designs that I imagine.
