If Roses Grow In Heaven
If roses grow in heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my daughter’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love and miss her; and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day; but there is an ache within my heart that will never go away. Love Always, Mama
The family of Antonico Shantrice Thomas is sincerely grateful and humbled by your many expressions of love and concern shown during our time bereavement. Your prayers, telephone calls, Facebook messages and posts, cards, and gifts have meant so much to our family. They have truly brought great comfort to us while planning and preparing for the homegoing and celebration of the life of one whom we love so dearly, our Social Butterfly, Antonico. Your kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered and may God continue to richly bless all of you.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you’re always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one-by-one the chain will link again. Love, Bobby
Note From Above “Remember”
As you remember me, remember what I stood for, remember integrity, remember me doing it with style, remember my grace, remember me being a leader, remember how I glorified God and put it in the devil’s face, remember how I was as a mother, remember how I was as a sister, daughter, niece, auntie, cousin, granddaughter, even remember me as a friend, remember how I stood up for my people and would never bend, remember my work ethic, remember me as being a great cook, remember my many talents, remember my many laughs, remember my many jokes, but most importantly remember me being a strong God-fearing women, and in allll of your remembrance of me REMEMBER God loves me US EVEN MORE! Written with love for my sister Nikki by, Angela (Thomas) Jackson, Sister I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and the days before that too. I think of you in silence, and often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake with which I will never part. God has you in His keeping. I have you in my heart. Love, Grandma Gladys
Notice of Address of Change
Dear Family and Friends, Just writing to let you know that I’ve moved from Memphis, Tennessee. I received a call from God informing me that the final touches were complete, my new home was ready, and that I could move in immediately! It’s such a beautiful sight to behold! It’s a mansion, nestled on an exclusive estate behind Pearly Gates, in a beautiful city. The streets are paved with gold and every day is Sunday! I have lived many places before, but none can compare. There is peace, joy, happiness, and sweet serenity everywhere. I could go on and on about my new home, but they’re calling me now to be fitted for my robe. Consider yourselves invited, and I look forward to our reunion you when you arrive.
Antonico With Love,
I Miss You
I cried when you passed away, I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke my heart to prove to me He only takes the best. Love, Jonathon
Distinctive Services by
Mama,
Not a day goes by that I don’t wish that I could turn back the hands of time. There isn’t a debt too large to pay, nor weight to heavy to bear upon my shoulders for something as simple as one more conversation. You transcended the title of mother, auntie, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and friend. You were beautiful, loving, thoughtful, motivating, inspiring, oh so funny, and empathetic. But most importantly, you were my God-Fearing protector. I know you are listening from above, so know that there’s nothing that eases the pain of your absence more than your everlasting love. Mama, no matter where I am or what I am doing, the memories we share will serve to be an infinite fuel source, on stand-by, to keep me smiling and striving to be great. You will be missed. Love Your Son, Cedric

Reflections of Life
A ntonico Shantrice Thomas was born November 29, 1974 to Beverly McWright and Eugene White. She is eldest of Beverly’s
four children, one of whom preceded her in death, sister Stephanie Thomas. She is also preceded in death by several other beloved family members: maternal grandfather, Joe Thomas; nephew, Kash Jackson; paternal grandmother, Viola White; paternal grandfather, Robert Barnes; paternal uncle, Joe White; paternal aunts, Annie Pearl Hicks, Lola White, and Ida Parks. It was at an early age, at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership Rev. Dr. James E. Delaney, that Antonico first accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. However, a mere profession of her faith was not enough. As she grew in faith and in the knowledge of the Lord, she humbly acknowledged God’s personal call on her life and was ordained as a minister in February of this year. Antonico was beautiful, unique, and unconventional. Her radiant smile was dazzling and disarming, full of mystery and charm. When she entered a room, flavor and sass, pomp and exhilaration followed. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Her style was iconic. On her, the ordinary became exquisite. She was a woman of passion and expression. She had a passion for dancing and danced with a beloved group of friends starting at Raineshaven Elementary continuing through junior high at Lanier and culminating with the dazzling Whitehaven Tigers. But not only could she dance, boy could she RUN! She won two state medals in track running the four by one hundred meter relay, four by two hundred meter relay, and the open four hundred. She also had a passion for cooking. All who knew her enjoyed countless invitations to dine on her delicious dishes. Still, it was her eye for detail that helped birth her lucrative business, Finishing Touches by Antonico. Her creative, tenacious spirit also gave way to other achievements such as co-authoring a book My Encounter with Angels and, her proudest accomplishment (outside of raising her two amazing boys) becoming an ordained minister. The ladder, most importantly, because it sealed her name in The Lamb’s Book of Life. It was this assurance that made her transition all the more peaceful. It was on Saturday, August 28, 2021 that God quietly whispered Antonico’s name, and she answered His call. She leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Cedric Miller and Jonathon Rogers both of Memphis, Tennessee; a caring sister, Angela Thomas-Jackson; a kind brother, Bobby (Dresha) Jackson; a warmhearted maternal grandmother Gladys Thomas; doting maternal uncles, Ernest (Joyce) Thomas, Reginald (Mary) Thomas, Gregory (Lorraine) Thomas, Paul Thomas; an affectionate maternal aunt, Cassandra Price-Thomas; adored nephew, A’Darius Jackson; five precious nieces, Diamond Thomas, Kennedy Thompson, Brooke Jackson, Jimiah Harper, and Kari Jackson; warm-hearted paternal uncles, J.D. (Carolyn) White, James White, Robert White, Willie (Dennesse) White; thoughtful paternal aunts Edna (Bob) Bratcher, Mattie (Robert) Cox, and Dorothy White; and a host of cherished, special cousins and dear friends.
