Arthur’s spiritual life was nurtured at Mt. Paran Baptist Church. He was later baptized at Mt. Moriah on Carnes in Orange Mound. Arthur’s educational life was nurtured in the Memphis City School System, starting at Florida Street Elementary before becoming a Golden Wildcat at Melrose for his last five years. After graduation, he decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corp. During this time, Arthur served in several capacities including a tour

in Vietnam only returning home upon the death of his grandmother. After his discharge, he became employed at Firestone where he remained until he was permanently disabled by an on the job injury. After his time at Firestone, Arthur spread his charm in several areas around the city making lasting impressions wherever he went.
