Miss Me, But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little–but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me–but let me go.

The family of Beverly Delois McWilliams wishes to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for your acts of kindness shown to us during our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless and keep each of you for your thoughtfulness. Special thanks to Dr. Gina M. Stewart, the Intercessory Prayer Team and the entire Christ Missionary Baptist Church family, The West Cancer Clinic and its staff, Methodist Hospital-Germantown and the 3rd floor staff, Dr. Olugbenga Adebanjo and Dr. Moon Fenton.

Beverly Delois McWilliams was born December 26, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Dan and Corene Boston McWilliams. She passed away on January 2, 2017

Beverly professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age at Parkway Gardens Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Reverend Ezekiel Bell. She continued her spiritual walk by uniting with Christ Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Gina M. Stewart. Beverly was a faithful and dedicated member of the Liturgical Dance Ministry, the Senior Jewels Ministry, and the Outreach Ministry. Beverly graduated from Hamilton High School. Beverly continued her educational pursuits by graduating from Remington College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She didn’t stop there. Beverly graduated Cum Laude from Kaplan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development. Beverly’s love of education led her to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Ashford University with a Master of Arts Degree in Education. Beverly had a diverse employment history, but she found no greater joy than when employed with Christ Missionary Baptist Church and her last job with the Memphis City Schools. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Corene McWilliams, a brother Charles McWilliams and a sister, Cynthia McWilliams. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Daniel Williams (Crystal Wells), Carlos Williams (Tiffany) and Tristan Williams (LaTanya Smith) all of Memphis, Tennessee; four sisters, Danis McWilliams, Diane Golston, Anntoinette Johnson (Anthony) all of Memphis and Estella McGhee of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Reginald McWilliams and Raymond McWilliams (Phyllis) both of Memphis, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
