Life is But A Stopping Place Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay…. Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey’s quicker, For some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, -

world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27 , the eldest of three children, was born to the late Ruthie Lee Trotter in Grenada, MS
and later moved to Monessen, PA. Born October 14, 1944, Bobbie departed her earthly life on November 6, 2016. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a charter member of King Temple M.B. Church, under the direction of the late Pastor Robert L. Drew. She served faithfully as a member of the mother’s board under the direction of Pastor Edward Thomas. Bobbie attended Monessen public schools and after graduation from high school, she migrated south to live with relatives after her mother passed, finally making her home in Clarksdale, MS. It was at that moment she realized her talent for floral arrangement, thus beginning her professional career as a florist and funeral service manager. With a personality that was so warm and beautiful, she was loved by everyone. Her love for others extended beyond family and friends as evident by her civic affiliation in which included the Order of the Eastern Star. On March 18, 1978, Bobbie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Marshall Fair, Sr. To this beautiful union, she gave birth to two children (Byron and Bradford) and together they raised four children (Brian and Tara). She was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin Peeler and Ruthie Lee Trotter; her husband; Marshall Fair; two brothers; Benjamin Peeler Jr., Thomas Peeler; and one sister, Sandi Hawii. Those left to celebrate her life and treasured memories include her four children: Brian Cooper of Clarksdale, MS; Tara (Marvin) Reddick of Atlanta, GA; Byron (Tamicko) Fair of Vicksburg, MS; Bradford Fair of Clarksdale, MS. One son, Marshall (Kamille) Fair Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter, Gwendolyn (Jeff) Jones of Franklin, TN. Two nieces, Henrietta Peeler and Crystal Peeler of Clarksdale, MS; two nephews, Torrance (Nikedra) Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL; Omar Peeler of Memphis, TN. Mrs. Fair is also survived by five grandchildren: Yeshua, Nyashia, Valerie, Marshall III, Bradford Jr.; and a host of other relatives and beloved friends and church members to cherish her memory.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her work bring her praise at the city gate.
