Life’s Reflections

Revelyn Ann Curry-Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 01, 2024. She was born in Memphis, TN on February 16, 1948, the second daughter to Hayes and Emma Curry and sister of Ouida Romell Curry, who preceded her in death. Revelyn will be remembered as a loving mother, remarkable sister, outstanding auntie, fabulous grandmother, wonderful friend and compassionate individual to any person she encountered. Her heart to give and willingness to love stemmed beyond her family and friends. She never met or encountered a stranger. Revelyn was a former first lady of Hudsonville CME, of Holy Springs, MS, St. Paul CME in Chester, PA and Greenwood CME Memphis, TN all under the leadership of Rev. Herbert L. Williams Sr. Revelyn was a faithfully and dedicated member of Greenwood CME Church under the leadership Rev. Clarence K. Heath, where she was a part of Missionary Board, Steward Board #2, Sunday School Teacher, Eva Walker Healthcare Unit, The Anointing Team, Prayer and Praise Team for Bible Study and Singles Ministry. As a First Lady, Revelyn was able to be a reflection of God’s grace to the people she served. She later relocated to Hampton, GA where she was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in McDonough, GA under the leadership of Rev. William Bert Neal.

Her early childhood education was at St. Augustine and her high school journey at Father Bertrand in Memphis, TN. During her high school journey, Revelyn’s high school co-curricular activities were prep squad/cheerleader, school choir, social committee that sponsored Saturday dances in the gym (most popular event across the city of Memphis) and a member of the girls’ singing group. Revelyn continued to advance her education at Chester Upland School of Practical Nursing in Chester, PA. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA, where she served her patients with grace and dignity for many years.

Words to describe the HEART OF REVELYN include, but not limited to:

Elegance, Stylish, Graceful, Loving, Appreciative, Courteous, Affectionate, Strong, Brave, Authentic, Attentive Cheerful, Kind, Optimistic, Strong, Willed, Patient
