We were blessed with a precious gift. She was not in a box with pretty wrapping an a bow on top. Enclosed was no guarantee or special care instruction sheet.

Through many days, nights and years of knowing and admiring this precious gift, our hearts and souls have grown with light and love. On March 13, we were asked to return this gift to the original owner and creator. Our hearts were filled with happiness and great joy when we discovered we could keep the main contents and only return the physical parts. With care and pride, we wrapped and prepared the gift for return. With the love, prayers, support of many loved ones and caring friends, we were able to make the final exchange with gratitude and a smile. Though we may not know the names of every single one who walked this road with our family, we will forever be grateful to each of you. May God continue to richly bless and continue to keep you in His loving care.

A woman with many talents and many attributes. You made everyone laugh and you made everyone feel right at home.

The life of the party and the twinkle of one’s eye. To everyone, you were known as Neicy or Carol, but to us you were “ MAMA”. You no longer have to cry, no longer have to weep out in pain and no longer will you suffer. You’ve gained your wings to be with our Heavenly Father, and I know up there, you’ll always cry tears of joy and dance merrily to the beat of your own tune. Watch over us and love us from

( Neicy) was born on May 20, 1960, to the late parents of Donald and Shirley Clark. Carolyn was raised by the late William and Ollie B. Glass.

Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age and reunited with Mt. Moriah Baptist under the pastorage of Rev. Dr. Harvey B Jackson.

She was a 1978 graduate of White Station High school. She had also attended Jet Beauty School because she loved to do hair, but later changed and went into Hospitality. She was Supervisor of Housekeeping under the Hilton Brand until her illness.

Carolyn was known for her smile. She was fun loving and always the life of any party or occasion that she attended.

Carolyn was married to Curtis Isom in April 2007.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by her husband, Curtis, her daughters Nicole Clark, Ashley Sloan (Antonio), one son Curtis Jr., four brothers, Lawrence Clark (Pertina), Marvin Clark (Sandra), Otis Lawson (Debra), Christopher Lawson, two sisters, Debra Irving (Johnathan) and Eunice Taylor (Torrin) all of Memphis, her father and mother-in-law Roosevelt and Wanda Isom, two brothers-in-law Patrick and Dwight Isom, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Glass, a special sister Angel Hearn, best friends Carolyn Porter and Belinda. Her grandchildren, Jayla, Dereon, Janiya, Andrael, Antonio Jr. and Darian. She also leaves a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother William Glass Jr.

The Broken Chain

Little did we know that morning God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly In Death we do the same It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side, A family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again Love Always
