Together Again

~Active Pallbearers ~

A reunion occurred in heaven last week Of the sweetest and most joyful kind As Dad’s spirit moved beyond this earth Released from his earthly confines And what a reunion it must have been! A joy beyond belief When Dad met Mom in heaven Ending his unimaginable grief

~Interment & Repast ~ Jerusalem M. B. Church Memphis, Tennessee

And we are certain Dad is still holding Mom’s hand While she cherishes each moment by his side And they’re experiencing the joy of being together again Catching up on the time they were denied We are confident they are also looking over us Hoping their happiness will lessen our pain As we contemplate the joy that they finally feel Now that they are together again And though we’ll miss them terribly And will long for them everyday We are reminded that love is more powerful than death this is our comfort, since they could not stay. So although we’ll miss our Dad profoundly our grief is somewhat lessened in knowing he loves us all so much And he and Mom are back together in heaven

We Love You Daddy!

Charles had eight siblings to precede him in death: Joe Lee Garrett, Shirley Murphy, AG and LW Jeffer, Laverne, Jimmy C., Alfonzo and Rufus Jeffries. Charles worked as a crew chief for the City of Memphis, Public Works Sanitation Department for over 38 years. He was also a neighborhood auto mechanic, plumber, weekend short-haul truck driver and provided lawn care services for many years, among other things. The most notable thing about Charles was his gift of gab. He never met a stranger, and he didn’t believe it short conversations. If you could endure the lengthy conversation, he’d probably get you laughing before it was over. He loved his family and tried his best to take care of them until the end.

The Angels

The angels came to visit our uncle last night And now he is at peace with the laughter and the time we spent with him We miss him already It’s a sad time for all of us, but our love for him will be safe in our hearts We’re glad he is in no more pain and he will be with loved ones who are there with him We Love You Always Uncle Charles
