was born In Memphis, TN on the 31st of July 1998, to the late Christopher Williams and

Chelsea was a 2016 graduate of Overton High School where she was a member of the ROTC, the cheerleading squad, the track team and the Bridge Builders Program. Chelsea received a great honor in her eleventh-grade year by being elected Homecoming Queen with a full court. She continued her education at the University of Memphis, as a freshman, majoring in Criminal Justice, where she was a member of the Key Club International, and she was accepted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) to provide leadership and commitment to herself and the community. Chelsea was a proud student on the Dean’s List who was smart, ambitious, and she never settled for less. She was a true believer in making sure she continued her education. Chelsea was employed by the Mellow Mushroom Restaurant. In her leisure time, Chelsea enjoyed having her hair styled and being photogenic as much as possible. Near and dear to her heart was spending precious moments with her loving mother and grandmother whether involved in conversation, watching 48 Hours and other Criminal Justice Dramas or just enjoying a wonderful meal. Chelsea being the youngest grandchild was affectionally and adorably known as “Lil Baby.” “Lil Baby” would often along with her two sisters volunteer to sing at nursing homes throughout the city. She enjoyed spending quality time with her “Bentley Earl”, her Pug companion whom she raised from a pup to seven years old. On the third of April 2017, Chelsea Williams was summoned by our Heavenly Father to a place of rest. Chelsea was preceded in death by her father; a grandmother, Billy Jean Northern, a grandfather, Dennis Duckett. Chelsea memories will be cherished by her mother, Rachael Duckett; one brother, Desmond Williams, three sisters, Chasity Duckett, Alysia Duckett, and Kristy Williams; grandmothers, Alisha Tucker and Valerie Duckett; and her grandfather, Andrew Tucker; aunts, Latoya Wilson-Barr, Tonya Marshall and RaShun Duckett; and her uncles, Michael Wilson and Robert Barr, Jr.; along with a host of cousins, great uncles, great aunts, and friends.

Mother’s Tribute to Her Baby Girl: The house without you seems empty and bare, The smell of your fragrance no longer fills the air. Your face, your smile the touch of your skin, The forthcoming plans you’d aimed to begin. The years of your life were not in vain, As your time with us precious memories will always remain. We know our hearts will never mend, We’ll ache and weep until our lives end.

From Michael and LaToya Wilson Not Ready to Let You Go I wish that I could tell you I’m not ready to let you go. But you’ve already departed, And my heart is feeling so low. I miss that little twinkle That used to light up your eyes. And I miss the sound of your voice, Your laughter and your sighs. But most of all I miss The way you made me feel, Like nothing could ever harm me because Your love was so strong and real. There are others here who miss you, And they’ve gathered here today. Your life touched so many people, Who became your friends along the way. They want you to know they love you, too. And they’re filled with sadness and grief. No one really wants to say goodbye, So, we’ll just wish you eternal peace.
