Your Loving Baby Brother, Tony
To Our Wonderful Loving Mother Cynthia Lynn
Little did we know that day that God would call your name In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same; We still see your face before us, your voice we long to hear We miss and love you dearly, God knows we wish you were here It broke our hearts to lose you, for you did not go alone A huge part of us went with you, the day God called you home; The tears fall freely from our eyes, like a river filled with grief Our only comfort now, is that from pain, you’ve found relief Although we cannot hear your voice or see your smile no more We know you still beside us walk, just as you did before; You listened to our stories and wiped our many tears You wrapped your loving arms around us and understood all our fears You left us peaceful memories as your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you, you’re always at our sides; For all you were to us in life and all the joy you brought Your memories are forever with us, in every single thought We try so hard not to cry, the way we do each day While thinking of the many things, we didn’t get to say; The pain we felt in losing you will never go away But knowing that you are in our hearts, helps us through the day; We feel the love you have for us; we hear it in our hearts You’ve left your humanly body, but your soul will never us part; Although our hearts are heavy, it’s also full of love And that’s enough to comfort us, while you live in Heaven above. Always loving and thinking of you Mom,

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

II Timothy 4:6-8
ynthia Williams DeMesma was born December 7, 1962, to the late Willie and Virgie Williams in Memphis, Tennessee. Cynthia accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pisgah C.M.E Church under the pastorage leadership of the late Rev. E. Lynn Brown. She was a 1980 graduate of Melrose High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Cynthia was a dedicated employee at Nike for many years and retired due to illness. She enjoyed supporting her alma mater, Melrose High School by attending numerous football games and parades. Cynthia loved family gatherings and cookouts, where she would show her grilling skills and she especially loved celebrating during the holidays. Cynthia was an excellent cook and won her bragging rights from family members and friends. Cynthia was a loving mother to Jasman and P.J. and she also was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren, Santana and JoJo. Cynthia got a chance to keep Santana for a week before she took ill. Cynthia peacefully transitioned from this life to join eternal rest with her family members on the evening of March 18, 2021, at Tri-Star Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Willie Williams, grandmother, Vastie Dover; sisters, Aline Toler, Geraldine Williams, and Linda Askew, brother, Jerome Dover, aunts, Thelma Dover Pitchford and Lela Wright, and brother-in-law, Alonzo DeMesma. Reflections
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

Affirmation of Faith (Please stand.) I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. The third day He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. AMEN. (Please be seated.)
