Life’s Reflections

Devin Jarnell Graham was born to Eddie Graham and Kathy Bennett in Memphis, Tennessee. At an early age, he confessed hope in Christ as a member of Longview Avenue Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Devin’s membership was later moved to St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, which is currently led by Reverend Patrick L. Lewis, Sr. Pastor.

Devin was a student of the “Young Christian Knights” Sunday School Class, which was led by Ms. Patricia Smith. He also served as a Youth Devotional Leader during special youth church services.

Devin attended Melrose High School, where he was a member of the Melrose High School Mass Choir. In his spare time, Devin loved composing and performing his own rap songs. His favorite hobbies were playing “Fortnite” with his childhood friend and neighbor Christian, collecting trains, and building Lego projects. After leaving school, he became gainfully employed, beginning with Nike. He then moved to Fed-Ex Ground and Amazon (Fraser).

So many family and friends will truly miss Devin. Those that he leaves behind to cherish his memories are his father, Eddie Graham; mother, Kathy Bennett; brothers, Benjamin Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Jalynn Rosser, Steve Webb, and Jessie Wright; sisters, Tearea Hearn, Tiffany Hearn, and McKaylyn Rosser; aunts, Debra (Johnny) Keys, Charlestine (Aaron) Lewis, Evelyn Graham, and a multitude of other close relatives and friends.

Devin had a kind, generous soul and always made everyone feel special. His infectious smile could brighten up any room. Devin had a unique way of making your day brighter. He was always positive and giving. He will be missed immensely.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning That God was going to call your name, In life, we loved you dearly; In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us with peaceful memories; Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The Chain will link again.

With All Our Love, Dad, Tate, Netta, Lisa Family and Friends

Devin,

You were born a very smart individual with a most unique soul and spirit. That’s why I did not name you Junior. You were your own person. I hope to be like you one day, that by His grace, I’ll also get to see His face. No devil can reach out to touch you anymore. I hope to reunite with Granny, our pet “Lil Bud,” you and our pet “Esa,” and my niece Alicia. Now that you are out of the rain, there will be nothing but sunshine. But you’re leaving this season, and nobody can get in your way. Still believing in Jesus because he hears us every time that we pray. That’s why I know you’re going to be just fine; you are a child of the King!

Love, Dad “Pops”

Until We Meet Again

They always say God takes the best. You were for sure the best!

You were the life of the party- My Best Friend! You made me smile when I was sad. You rode with me right or wrong.

Just know that your big sister will never forget you and your spirit will always live through me. My love for you was unspeakable. I know that you are in a better place, and I can’t wait to see you again.

I Love You
