A shining star beneath the skies

I’ll always love you. That’s a fact

Life’s Reflections

Dewayne “Boomaine” Harris, Jr.

September 25, 1991-October 6, 2024

Dewayne was born to the late Dewayne Harris, Sr., and Jacqueline Richmond in Memphis, TN. He was the youngest of their two children, and Tara was his big sister.

As a teenager, Boomaine’s dad would employ him on weekends and during the summer to work with him in his lawn business. This inspired Dewayne to have his own business.

After graduating from Whitehaven High School in 2010, Boomaine furthered his education at Coahoma Community College. He also played football in Europe for a short time, following his dream of being a pro football player. In December 2022, Dewayne received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and was currently working toward earning his Master’s degree.

Boomaine loved football, speaking engagements, and being a self-employed businessman. He was the owner of Mr. 700 Credit Solutions, and he enjoyed educating people about the dangers of driving drunk, a tribute to his late father, who was fatally struck on his motorcycle by a drunk driver on October 20, 2018. Boomaine would always work out; he went to the gym daily and was strict on his type of diet; he loved telling us what we should or should not eat.

In 1997, God blessed Dewayne with another mother, Kimberly Hunt, and two more siblings, Allyson and Kameron. As the years passed, he became an uncle to Tylen Hunter, Tristen Carter, and Talen Kameron.

Boomaine’s memories will be cherished by his two moms, Jacqueline Richmond and Kimberly Hunt Harris, both of Memphis, TN; siblings Tara Richmond Ford, Allyson Harris, and Kameron Moore, all of Memphis, TN; grandmother Mamie Harmon, of Memphis, TN; aunts Carolyn Pigues, Memphis, TN, and Cameron Tuggle Horton, of Houston, TX; uncles Christopher Tuggle, of Houston, TX, and Phillip Henderson of Memphis, TN a brother-in-law, Terrance Ford and a host of cousins and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Dewayne Harris, Sr; grandmother, Lilly Barnes; grandfather, Phil Tuggle; aunts, Allie Bowie, Freda, and Jacqueline Harmon; uncle, Earnest Harris, and cousins, Barrio, Billie and Lawrence Harris.

Dewayne was a teacher in every way to different people, but he always made you smile or laugh at his silly jokes or was a serious, outgoing person. Dewayne was my shining light. Dewayne’s famous saying was, “Everyone must move forward without looking back.”

Dear My little big brother

I hide my tears when I say your name, but the pain in my heart is still the same. Although I smile and seem to carefree, there is NO ONE Who Misses You MORE THAN Me. I love you

A LETTER FROM MY Brother IN HEAVEN

Just close your eyes, and you will see All the memories that you have of me. Just sit and relax, and you will find I’m really still there inside your mind

Don’t cry for me now I’m gone For I am in the land of song There is no pain, there is no fear So dry away that silent tear

Don’t think of me in the dark and cold I’m in that place that’s filled with love Known to you all as “up above” IN LOVING MEMORY OF Dewayne Harris Jr.
