She began her walk of faith and accepted Christ at an early age at Greater New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev James L. Clark Sr.; there she served in the choir. She later became a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Darrell Petties. Liz loved music and was a founding member of the Stellar Award winning gospel quartet, Lisa Knowles Smith & The Brown Singers. Liz united in holy matrimony to her loving husband Bobby Lee Cleveland on February 14, 2001.
