On January 29, 2019, the Almighty God called home to glory his precious child, Felix Akinboboye. God spoke to his heart and Felix responded. “I’m here Lord, take me in.” Felix Akinboboye was born February 28, 1959, to Akinboro and Florence Akinboboye in Lago, Nigeria. He came to the United States in October 1981 and eventually became a United States citizen. He attended Shorter College (Little Rock) and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (AR). He accepted Christ as his Savior in Nigeria at an early age. He was a chef prior to starting a transportation service in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987. He moved his business to Arkansas in 1991 and later expanded transportation needs to successfully serve Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Felix loved the United States; one highlight of his life was when he became a U.S citizen. His family was important to him and he was greatly loved by his children and grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Evelyn Akinboboye; son Jevon Yemi Akinboboye; stepdaughter, Tiffany Troope (of whom he raised from a very early age); grandchildren – Jamari Akinboboye, Diamond Akinboboye, Derian Troope, Donterious Troope, Angel Smith, Keihu Smith, Kevon Smith, Lakristen Troope , and Xavier Arter; sister Silfat Owoeye (Nigeria) and a host of other relatives and friends. Felix was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Emily Akindolire, and stepson Dorian Troope that he also raised from an early age. Though Felix will be greatly missed, he will have no more worries or suffering; just glory. To have known him was a pleasure. To God be the Glory!

“Grandpa you always have the time to listen when everyone else is busy. Your wisdom seems to put my mind at ease; you know what I’m going through because you’ve been there before. I love the talks and stories of the places you’ve been and things you’ve seen. You make me slow down and see the world for what it really is. This is the last chance to tell you how much I love you! I love you Grandpa
Diamond Akinboboye
When my grandpa died I was really sad because I just wanted him to be here for me and to see me graduate. But, just because he’s not here physically doesn’t mean he’s not in our heart. It took me some time to realize that we didn’t lose a loved one they just passed onto another life. But there is no suffering, no pain, and no feeling sick. There are hope and laughter in all those things they couldn’t have here. So I’m not happy that grandpa had passed, butI’m glad he found peace. Rest In Peace Grandpa, Love

He was like a second father to me. He always inspired me to work hard growing up. He tried to keep me out of trouble. I had one foot in the street ad one foot in the grave. Grandpa made sure he stop that nonsense by yelling and fussing at me about doing right. My grandpa knew I was better than that. I thank you for being in my life because I wouldn’t be who I am today. I love you, grandpa,

My grandfather was a loving caring man. He always worked his hardest to provide for his family. He is my role model. How hard he worked for his family, his loving and caring abilities in my eyes make a great man. The memories are made together will never be forgotten. I thank you for never giving up on me and always believing in me. I love you, grandpa, may you rest in peace.
