Life’s Brief Glance Floyd Marcellus “Butch” Jackson
was born October 9, 1956, to the union of Mr. James “Hank” Jackson and Mrs. Claudia C. Jackson. He was an alumnus of Melrose High School, Class of 1974. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age at New Era Baptist Church. He later joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Collierville, Tennessee. Floyd enjoyed life being with his Orange Mound friends until his health failed. On Friday, April 20, 2018, he passed at the Methodist University Hospital - Memphis. He was preceded in death by his father, James, his grandparents, Mr. Walter and Mrs. Angie Campbell whom he loved very much. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Mrs. Claudia Jackson, one uncle, Mr. Charles Campbell, Sr., one aunt, Marie Campbell and a great aunt, Mrs. Nellie Alexander who was his childhood babysitter, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special Thanks to the West Clinic doctors and staff, the doctors and nurses at Methodist University (Intensive Care Unit) 4th Floor East, all of the paramedics that cared for him as he was being transported to the hospital, all members of Middle Baptist Church and friends of the Orange Mound Community.
