When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do, you mustn’t tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you’ve given me and happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, But know it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me for a while, if you grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part. So treasure the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, I will be near Though you can’t see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear All my love around you soft and dear And then, when you come this way alone, I will greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home”

rances Vivian Ferguson Towns was born on May 23, 1932, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the seventh child of Mr. Jim and Mollie Ferguson, the baby of the family. She often reminded her sibling of her place, and their duties to care for her. She was truly loved and cherished. Frances was raised in Orange Mound, Tennessee, and she attended Melrose grade school up to high school. Years later moved her membership to Greater Adelaide Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Andrew Tabor were she served diligently as the President of the Pastor Aide, additional to this she served in the kitchen, fish fry, valentines gram, garage sales, and so many more activities for Greater Adelaide Baptist Church and for the love of God. Frances loved serving, giving, and supporting the pastor and his family. Very faithful participant in Sunday school, where she shared her love for God’s words and mid-week services. Also, she was on the motherboard at Greater Adelaide Baptist Church. Oh, how she loved serving for Greater Adelaide Baptist Church.
