“M y L ast L oad ”
Written by: Crystal robinsonLife on the road often imitates the road of life, Sometimes you have to deal with turmoil & strife. There were days when the storms would roll, But with God guiding me, I always knew the right path to go. At times there were bumps in the road, And times when I would drop one burden only to have to lock in another heavy load. No one ever said the road of life would be easy, But with God’s Grace and the love of my family, I kept on believing.
I know your hearts are heavy laden. I understand your despair, But always lean on God, and in your memories, I’ll be there. Whenever you see a big truck pass you by, think of me waving, Because this isn’t goodbye. On September first my journey took me south, I got my last assignment in this thing called life. Loved ones I am at peace, Please do not weep.
It was time to hang up my keys and rest, For I have reached the end of my road. I’m signing off on that old CB Radio, Because I have finally dropped my last load.
Signing off...“10-24”...Gerald
