She made a right onto Believeth Blvd. Then she kept straight through the green light, which is Jesus Christ.

Then she turned onto The Bridge of Faith which is over troubled waters.

When she got off the bridge, she made a right turn and kept straight. Now she’s on the King’s Highway, which is Heaven Bound…

Then she went three miles, one for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit.

Then she exits off onto Grace Blvd. She makes a right turn onto Gospel Lane, she kept straight and made another right onto Prayer Road. As she traveled on her way, she yielded not into Temptation Ave. She avoided Sin Street because it’s a dead end. She passed up Envy Drive and Hate Avenue and also passed Hypocrisy Road, Gossiping Lane and Backbiting Lane.

However, she went down Long Suffering Lane, Persecution Street and Trails and Tribulations Avenue, but that’s alright because Victory Road is straight ahead. Amen.

Go rest now precious one, your life in eternity has just begun. I can just imagine the smile on your face.

As you walk around in that beautiful place. Greeting our loved ones, as you walk along while singing heaven’s most beautiful songs.

This is so very hard, but it will be okay. It isn’t goodbye; we’ll see you one day.

was born October 8, 1953, to the late Mamie Fossett and Willie Fossett Sr. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and began her Christian journey at Greater New Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. LL Harris. She was an active and lead singer of the choir. Gloria also was a lead singer with the “Heavenly Doves.”

Gloria was employed by the Memphis City Schools for about 15 years. Gloria was a fun-loving and good-hearted woman who loved her family.

On March 6, 2017, at Saint Francis Hospital, God called Gloria from labor to sweet rest, for she had fought a good fight, she finished her course, and she kept the faith. Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Patterson, and brother, Calvin Fossett.

Gloria’s memory will forever linger in the heart and thoughts of her family.

Her precious memories will continue to live on through her dear friend of 32 years, Lee Harper; three sisters, Peggie Fossett, Valerie Fossett and Joyce Fossett; three brothers, Willie Lee Fossett Jr.(Shirley), Randall Fossett (Gail) and Robert Fossett Sr. (Lavon); one brother-in-law, Jessie Patterson, nieces, LaQuita Yarbrough and Leketra Fossett; nephews, Robert Fossett Jr., Justin Fossett, Christopher Fossett, Anthony Fossett, Jadarrius Moore, Quentarrius Fossett and Darryl Stewart; three great-nieces (who loved their “Tee-Tee”); five great-nephews; two aunts, Julia Richardson and Gloria Turner, a god-daughter, Portia Parson, three special cousins, Debra Merriweather, Tracy Parson and Amy Richardson; a host of other relative and friends who loved her dearly.
