R Reflections LECT F IONSof Life

M s. Gracie Mae Walker was born May 19, 1950, in Baldwyn, Mississippi, to her parents, the late John Henry Caldwell and Loyce Rubin Chandler. Ms. Gracie Walker accepted Christ early and was a long-time member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Frank E. Ray Sr. Gracie attended Melrose High School and graduated with the Mighty Class of 1968. She furthered her education at Southwest Community College. Gracie was a person that never met a stranger. She spent her life being a people person, enjoying family and friends with laughter, watching tennis, playing BINGO, playing cards, and watching movies in her spare time. On Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 3:17 am, our Heavenly Father saw fit to call his sweet angel home to be with Him. Her darling and cherished memories will live on through her beloved children, LaWanda Caldwell, Tony Caldwell, Byron Walker Sr., and Ian Walker, Sr. (Candice), her dear sisters Ora Lee Ellis (Issac), Gwendolyn Caldwell, and Donna White, two brothers, Ronny Caldwell and Darry Caldwell, six grandchildren, and a host of family and friends will also cherish her memory.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” John 14:1-4
