“Our Opa”

Written By: Nhatalie Ray Hudson

Our Opa was our first best friend, someone who was there from the very beginning until the end. He was always just right where you needed him with a listening ear and a loving heart. There was nothing on this green earth that could keep us apart. As we got older and started our own lives, Opa would always call and remind us to be wise. Now the day has come where we won’t get those calls anymore, and we can’t just go knock at his door.

There is no joy on earth so precious to us than having wonderfully warm and caring friends like you. We gratefully acknowledge the acts of love shown to us during our time of bereavement. We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we transition through this difficult time. ~The Family

The Broken Chain We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.

But Opa is still with us everyday. You can hear his laugh in the wind while the children play. Opa you loved us more than we could have ever known, thank you for always letting it be shown.

You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side.

As your grandchild we will always try to make you proud, looking at you for guidance up in the clouds.

Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.

So this is see you later...until we meet again, my Opa, our best friend.

My Dad

My father is a man like no other. He gave me life, nurtured me, taught me, dressed me, fought for me, held me, shouted at me, kissed me, but most importantly loved me unconditionally. There are not enough words I can say to describe just how important my father was to me, and what a powerful influence he continues to be...

I Love You Dad
