I
ssis Romita Ford
was a fond mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She transitioned peacefully from this world on April 20, 2021, at Methodist University Hospital. On May 13, 1963, Issis evolved on Earth to the elated parents, John W. Ford and Bettye Ford Eeast. She was a proud South Side High School “Scrapper” graduate. She later attended and graduated from Jett Cosmetology School. Issis truly reflected her zodiac sign, Taurus. Just ask her parents; as a child, and she frequently spoke her mind. She was a member of Greater Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Marquest Taylor, Sr. She had an affection for candles, crocheting, gardening, grandchildren, growing flowers, music, word search, and wrestling. Most of her time was spent outside enjoying the fresh air, nature, and an occasional garden with tomatoes and okra. Issis is survived by her parents, Bettye Ford Eeast and John W. Ford, brother, Colin Ford, sister, Mavis (Adrian) Stitt, Casandra (Odis) Mullins, sons, Terence Ford, Quinton Sales, a niece whom she reared like a daughter, Dominique Ford, a host of grandchildren, nieces, and friends. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 King James Version

We thought of you today But that’s nothing new We thought about you yesterday And days before that too. We think of you in silence We often speak your name. Now, all we have are memories And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake With which we’ll never part. God has you in His arms. We have you in our hearts forever.
May the winds of Heaven blow softly And whisper in your ear, How much we love and miss you And wish that you were here
Forever loved, Mom & Dad
Love Your Family
“How Can I Go On” I can go on because, as always you are waiting on me like you had always been there for me. My hardest days are here but as you told me, “It’s ok.” Issis our time together has just been put on hold and yes that Lil Mavis is still keeping up with us. Love your brother, AKA Mr. Brown
