Jack Martin Jr. was born in Shelby, Mississippi on June 24, 1944. He attended

Manassas High School and was later drafted into the United States Army. As a veteran, he served valiantly in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the army in 1971, he worked for the Illinois Central Railroad as a Brakeman for several years. Jack continued his career as a machine controller at Americraft Carton Incorporation of Memphis, Tennessee where he was also the President of the Union. After he retired from Americraft, Jack spent most of his time doing what he loved and making everyday count. On Monday, February 20, 2017, Jack transitioned peacefully from his earthly home to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Mae Martin; father, Jack Martin, Sr., Grandparents: Esther Buie, Saney Buie, Bertha Martin and George Martin. Jack Martin leaves to cherish his fond memories his beautiful daughter, Marja Nicole Martin; also survived by four brothers: John Martin, James Martin (Carol), Charles Martin and David Martin; also survived by four sisters: Ethel Cheers (Eugene), Bernice Johnson, Doris Hurdle (Daniel), Geneva Alexander (Floyd), and a host of nieces and nephews.
