aden Cameron Woody was born to Kaneesha Wody and Kenneth Sutherland on December 21, 2007, in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was a freshman at Whitehaven High School and was known as a brilliant, intelligent, and bright young man.

Jaden, affectionately known by many as “XO,” was a sports fanatic; he loved bowling, basketball, and especially football, with the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite team.

He started his sports life at age five with the pee-wee team for New Direction Church. He then continued his most memorable moments with the Ducks, The South East Cardinals, St. Paul Church, and his last year of playing with the Whitehaven Tigers.

He was not only a star on the field but also a star off the field. He was a phenomenal brother, son, grandson, cousin, and wonderful person.

Jaden was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Verna Jordan, and his great-grandfather, Clinton Durham Fund Memories of Jaden will be remembered and cherished by his mom Kaneesha D. Woody; sister Paislee Woody; brother Landyn McGhee; his grandmother, Pam Shorter (James); his uncle Kourtney Spates; grandfather, Stephen Woody and a host of other relatives and friends.

We little knew that day, God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same.

You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide.

And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
