Our loved one before us lies; in all save breath, he seems the same as yesterday. His face so like to life, so calm, bears not a trace of that great change which all of us so dread; we gaze on him and say; he is not dead but sleeps and soon will arise and take us by the hand. We know he will awake and smile at us as he did yesterday and have some gentle word to say, some kind deed to do, far loving thought was the warp and woof of which his life wins wrought. He is not dead. Such souls forever live in a boundless measure of the life they give. I have ran the great race, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith, and now the prize awaits me, and for all who get their hearts on his coming appearance.

We, the family of Jimmy Lewis Myers, Sr., sincerely appreciate you sharing with us as we praise God in the homegoing of our loved one. God can truly measure the depth of our gratitude for your many kind deeds. We thank God for supplying our lives with people like you. Your kindness will ever occupy a special place in our hearts. May God bless and keep each of you. Special thanks to Pastor W.C. Woods, Christ The Living Word Family, Methodist University Hospital, Tri-State Community Health Center. ~The Family

The moment that you left me My heart was split into two One side was filled with memories The other side died with you I often lay awake at night, when the world is fast asleep And take a walk down memory lane, as tears run down my cheek Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday But missing you is a heartache that never goes away I hold you tightly within my heart And there you will forever stay!!! God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So he wrapped his arms around you And whisphered, Come to Me You didn’t deserve what you went through So he gave you rest God’s garden must be beautiful He only takes the best And when we saw you sleeping So peaceful and free from pain We could not wish you back To suffer that again We will miss you BB
