Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy path.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

The world was blessed with the birth of Julius Caesar Smith, January 19, 1952, to Clarence Smith and

Elizabeth Smith Cottrell who preceded him in death. He departed this life on Monday, May 14, 2018. The success of his life was not determined by accumulation, but by the many contributions he made. At the early age of eight, he confessed a hope in Christ at White Stone Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend L.S. Sorrell. There he served as a member of the Youth and Young Adult Choir, then a member of the Male Chorus and a faithful member of the Deacon Board. Julius retired from BNSS (Burlington Northern Railroad) December 31, 2017. Julius was a faithful servant who loved the Lord, Church, Family, and work. Two sisters, Brenda Joyce Smith and Janice (Edward) Davis of Paris Califonia, three brothers-in-law, Elton (Verna) Frank (Shirley) Jones, Jr. and Eugene Jones, two sisters-in-law, Jerry (Arthur) Pipkins and Annie Mae Grant preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Alfreda Smith, four sons; Julius C. Smith, Jr. (Coshia) Dennis Hollimon (Melanie), William Hollimon, Jr., one daughter, Tameka Watson; four brothers, Ellis Cottrell of Atlanta, Georgia, Ulice (Peggy) Cottrell, Clarence Walker of California, Larry Walker of California, one sister, Faye Williams of Chicago, Illinois, mother-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Bradshaw, four grandchildren, two loving aunts; Louise (Willie) Lester and Georgia Nicholson, four brothers-in-law; Maurice (Ramon) Jones, Michael (Anesta) Jones, Dewey Jones, three sisters-in-law, Earline Sanders (Cliff), Deborah (William) Anderson, Johnnie Mae (Matthew) McDaniels.
