A Fallen Limb

LTributes oving

A limb has fallen from the family tree I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.” Remember the best ties, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest Remembering all, how I truly was blessed Continue traditions, no matter how small Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin Until the day come we’re together again. Realizing each tomorrow is not ours to understand and know that God never hurts needlessly and never wastes pain. For every loss he sends to us is followed by rich gains. Today in our loss, we recognized our gains in our friends and loved ones, your cards, flowers, prayers, words of encouragement, phone calls and every kind of deed has been a source of strength and comfort.

Reflections of Life

Mark Smith, Jr. was born in Louisville, Mississippi to Mark Smith and Peola Graham Smith.

He accepted Christ at an early age, and his love of God never wavered. He was wise and compassionate beyond his years, no wonder people called him “Man.” He was so full of love and giving in his mature years. His intelligence surpassed his accolades. He created a plethora of inventions that are used today in everyday practices. He was an avid political muse, and one served as the President Union Representative at Binswanger Glasscraft Co. Greatly loved and admired by the young people in his family. They admired and were in awe of his ability to speak truthfully, kindly, and without judgment. His character was to be admired and treasured the epitome of a man; honest, kind, forthright, knowledgeable, passionate and beautiful. At the age of 21, he met and entered into holy matrimony with Annie Belle Stitt, the love of his life. Six children were born to this union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Belle Smith, two brothers, two sisters, one grandson, three nieces, and two nephews. He leaves to cherish his loving memory to her four sons, Michael (Michelle) Mark Sean and Warren, two daughters, Clarissa (Robert) and Patrice, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and eight special nieces and nephews in whom he helped raise, three sisters-inlaw, Patricia (Fred), Edna (Danny) and Brenda (Hester), and a host of other relatives and friends.
