Life’eflections s Reflections R

Maurice Henry was born October 17, 1978, to Allen and Willie Mae Henry in Caledonia,

MS. He later moved to Memphis, Tn where he met his wife, Tara. They were married 19 years until his death. To this union, two children were born. Maurice was a fun-loving person, always willing to help others. As a child, he loved to eat mayonnaise and bread. He loved to wear short pants with red cowboy boots in the summer. He loved to hang out with his friends playing football, basketball, and playing games. As a young man, he worked hard because he loved clothes and tennis shoes. He worked a lot because he could and was capable of doing anything once he put his mind to it. As an adult, Maurice looked out for his family. If he knew you wanted something, he wouldn’t give you time to buy it. He would get it for you. Maurice lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. He loved God, his family, and his friends. Anybody that met Maurice, knew he had a heart of Gold! Maurice was a Masonic member of Eureka Lodge #3 and OES. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Tara L. Henry of Memphis, TN; three daughters, Zharia Henry of Memphis, TN, Shamir Halbert of Birmingham, AL and Elena Halbert of Memphis, TN; two sons, Kyrice Henry and Lamarcus Young of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Augusta Henry of Memphis, TN, Shanika Henry of Atlanta, GA and Chesika Porter of Columbus, MS; two brothers, Allen Henry Jr. and Franklin Williams (Angale) both of Columbus, MS; three grand-daughters, Lyonna of Birmingham, AL, E’va and Ryleigh both of Memphis, TN; one grandson, Cohen of Huntington, TN; his parents, Allen and Willie Mae Henry of Caledonia, MS; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and Dino (a cousin) who was like a brother.

Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

In Loving Memory of Our Son

We weren’t ready to say goodbye, but God knew best. Gone are the days we used to share, but in our hearts you are always there. Son you had a heart as good and pure as gold. We will miss all the fun times we shared. We will miss the laughs, and tears we shared. We will be sure to keep your memories alive. Love mom and Dad

LTributes oving

To My Loving Husband You never said I’m leaving. You never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why In life I loved you dearly In death I love you still In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn’t go alone. A part of me went with you the day God took you home. Your Loving Wife, Tara

Our Dad

Dad, you loved your kids and grandkids. We will keep the memory of you alive and love you forever!! We are blessed and so grateful to have shared moments and made memories with you. Your comedic, caring, and mentoring ways will never be forgotten. We will remember your words “It’s never goodbye, it’s always I will see you later,” words of encouragement “Baby, your life just started, this ain’t it, it’s not the end,” or lyrics “like my heart the rhythm’s bound to change without you the way it beats.” It hurts tremendously knowing you are not physically here, but we know you are no longer in pain. We will meet again! Watch over us our angel! Love your kids

Our Brother

43 years on this earth with you was a pleasure. We wouldn’t trade anything we did together. Even the times you would tell us you would call us back, three days later lol, but you called back. When you left just know you took apart of us with you. Life won’t be the same. The tears just keep coming. We know you are in a better place. It will be so hard not to hear you say “yo yo yo what’s up.” Just know you will live in us forever. Your Brothers and Sisters
