Life’s Reflections N eal Robinson was born on June 26, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the first of eight children of the late Naomi Robinson Hoffman and Clarence Robinson. On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, GOD called his faithful child home to glory.
There is not enough space nor time to express how I feel about my husband. He was my best friend. GOD truly blessed me with my “true” love. He always told me that “talk is cheap”; prove to me that you love me. I did and I always will. There will never be another one like my “Big Neal”. Luv you always, Tiny
Neal Robinson, better known as “Big Neal”, graduated from Melrose High School in 1969. In the school years of 1967-1968, he still holds the state records of 34 rebounds and 33 points in a single basketball game. In addition, he also attended one year of college and played basketball at Corpus Christi University in Corpus Christi, Texas. After returning home, he was employed by General Motors for several years. General Motors sold the building to Caterpillar, Inc. and Neal was hired. Neal worked for Caterpillar for 34 years as a Professional Material Handler and shipped parts all over the world. They knew him best by his ID# (34432). Neal retired in 2003 and afterward did what he loved most and that was his lawncare service. Neal Robinson confessed his life to Christ at an early at Magnolia Baptist Church. His final church home was First Baptist Church Broad. Neal Robinson and Audrea Yvonne Johnson were introduced by their best friends (Everett and Mary Barnes) in May, 1976. Neal and Audrea were married on April 2, 1977 and went on to live out a true love story for 45 years. They were blessed with one daughter, Adrienne Ganeal Robinson Smith. Neal Robinson had accomplished a lot in 73 years and received many blessings. He also knew that it was a blessing to give to others. Neal tipped everybody. However, his biggest joy was at Christmas. He had his ‘packages’ wrapped and he personally delivered every package. He was a CHEERFUL giver. Neal Robinson was preceded in death by his father (Clarence Robinson), mother (Naomi Robinson Hoffman) and brother (Ronnie Robinson, Sr). Neal Robinson leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Audrea Johnson Robinson; one daughter, Adrienne Ganeal Robinson Smith (Troy); one grandson, Troy Duke Smith; one granddaughter, Kaiya Anora Smith; two brothers, Larry Robinson, Sr (Peggy) and Keith Robinson (Beverly); four sisters, Patricia Robinson, Vickie Richmond (Delano), Rosalind Edwards (Johnny) and Sophia Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Recessional “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for GOD loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
