Reflections Reflections of Life

On January 23, 2018, God called home a beautiful angel.

Patrick Durrell Davis was born December 1, 1970, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born to Aubrey and Mary Davis. Patrick accepted Christ at an early age at Alpha Church under the leadership of Bishop Victor H. Williams. He later joined Eureka True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Frederick Tappan. He was an active member of the Men’s Ministry and part of the preparation group; “S.O.S.” (Save Our Sons). Patrick attended Mitchell High School and later became a manager at Club Flamingo. He was a proud resident of Walker Homes. He would encourage those in his neighborhood, and he was on the move for the good of the community, creating the slogan “Walker Homes Stand Up.” Cherishing the loving memories of Patrick are his parents, Aubry and Mary Davis, his grandmother; Rosie Davis, of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, four children; one son, Devin Demond Todd; and three daughters; Tahronica Boyle, Lanesha Lyons, and Pamara Smith. Patrick is also survived by his great uncle, Sammie Giles of Waukegan, Illinois, and his great aunt Nancy Watts and her husband Willie Watts of Kansas City, Missouri. He also leaves three grandchildren, a host of cousins, friends, and acquaintances. This includes one special friend, Adrian Sipp.

God Saw You

God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, “come to me.” You didn’t deserve what you went through, so he gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful; he only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back to suffer that again. Love, Mom and Dad

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers that we saw sitting there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts we thank you so much for whatever part.
