r. Richard Henry Jamerson, Sr., was born on May 7, 1940, to his late parents, Mr. Manuel Jamerson, Sr., and Emille Benson Jamerson. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. “Dickie” as he was affectionately called by many, was loved and adored by all he encountered. He was a proud and upstanding graduate of The Great Melrose High School and was a proud member of the Melrose Booster Club, Tri-Sport Social Club, and Co-Owner of The ShowCase Social Club, formally located at Park and Airways in Memphis, Tennessee On Monday, May 16, 2022, “Dickie” answered the call from our God and was summoned to come to be at rest from this old world to be with our Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bessie Elise “Dee Dee” Jamerson, in 2014. Dickie was also preceded in death by his siblings; Manuel Jamerson, Jr., Ada Rose Westbrooks, Geraldine Leatherwood, Julia Butler (Dub), and Mary Katherine. The joyous and loving memories of “Dickie” will be cherished by his children; Reginald Jamerson (Delona), Randy Jamerson (Mosette), Richard Jamerson, Jr. (Farrah), Marcus Norfleet, Carlos Jamerson (Delores), Rhonda Jamerson, Rochelle Buntyn, and Anita Powell (James), his sister, Beatrice Clark, and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and friends. “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
