R
obert Earl Williams was born on July 21,1944 to the late Otis and Nettie Torrance Williams at 1045 Overton Park in Dixie Homes. Robert, also known as “Hound” by his family and classmates, was a 1962 graduate of Manassas High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force a few months after graduation and served in the military for eight years. While stationed at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in Suffolk, England, Robert met his beautiful Jamaican bride, Yvonne Knight, who fondly nicknamed him “Bob.” On December 24, 1966, they were married and raised two sons, Michael and Gary, and one daughter, Monique. Robert was baptized at the Church of Christ at Horn Lake and Levi under the leadership of Bro. James Hudley. He continued his dedication to serve God at Parkway Village Church of Christ before his untimely health concerns after his well-earned retirement. Robert enjoyed an early honorable career as an Air Traffic Controller with PATCO until 1981 and later retired from FedEx after twenty-five years as a Senior Ramp Tower Controller. He was a devoted, hardworking, brilliant man his entire life and peacefully passed away at his home on September 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by both parents, first-born son, Michael Williams, brothers; Milton Montgomery, Henry Williams, and George Williams, and sister-inlaws; Flora Williams and Florine Avery Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy to his wife, Yvonne; his children, Gary and Monique; brother Odis Williams Jr.; grandchildren; Terrence, Kristyn, and Terrica; his niece Angela Jones (Paul); nephew, Odis Williams III (Quatella); sister-in law Marilyn Phillips and brother-in-law, Dennis Phillips, both of New York; great-grandchild, Kiyanne, and a host of relatives and long-time friends.

Final Words
My body said I was tired and needed healing and rest. The Lord heard my voice and did what was best. He came beside my bed and took my hand, and said we are going home as planned. He then wrapped his arms around me, and said everything will be fine. He told me I would slumber for a short time. Now I am at peace with no pain and I’m not alone. My Father put me to sleep and carried me home.
Love, Bob
