RobertLee Tyms was born on November 9, 1956, to Mr. and Mrs. Josh Tyms Jr. in Memphis, TN. He transitioned from this life on August 11, 2023. He was a proud graduate of Northside High School. Robert enjoyed listening to and playing music of all kinds. Grilling and spending time with family and friends was one of his favorite past times. Robert was charming and charismatic, leaving an impression on everyone he met. His parents, Josh and Ardelia Tyms, along with his sister Thelma Tyms Richardson and brothers Edward Lee Tyms, Birdell Tyms, and Mervin Tyms, all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, his only daughter, Alisha Tyms Thornton, beloved granddaughter Addison Thornton, sisters Emma Tyms and Idella Tyms, and brother Josh Tyms III. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his long-time companion Constance Jones.
