uth M. Traylor was born April 22, 1932, to Grant and Mary Kelley.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church at an early age and maintained her faith through life. She also was a graduate of St. Anthony High School. Ruth worked for Memphis City Schools from 1967-1998 as a beloved Nutrition Aide for Douglass and Northside High Schools. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; (brother) Jerry Kelley of Milwaukee, WI,; (son) Eddie Williams, Jr; (daughter in law) Charlene Williams and (grandson) Darryl Williams. Ruth will always be remembered as a community activist, beloved friend, and neighbor. She was an avid puzzle and Jeopardy enthusiast. Ruth loved being a beautician and caretaker to everyone she encountered. She was a pillar of the Douglass community, indeed a social butterfly. To cherish her loving memory, she leaves her daughter, Pamela Traylor, and three sons: Theodore Mickens, Reginald Mickens, and Preston Traylor. A sister, Beulah Dandridge(Raymond) of Seaside, CA. There are 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-greatgrandchildren.
